Happy New Year to ya!
I'm Merida, Princess of DunBroch, Daughter of King Fergus an' the Queen Elinor. Ah'll be making my own fate from here on out, wherever that may take me.
So now that I’m back, I know I’m continuing one thread from before my unexpected hiatus. If we had a thread and you would like to continue it please let me know.
If you would like to start a thread with me also please let me know. I’m back to stay and would love to get the ball rolling again.
"Finally." The man says. "Let’s go son." The man adds on walking into the castle. "Y-Yes father." He answers shakily as he waves to the citizen and follows behind his father.
They are guided straight to the royal family by a guard. “Before we begin, I’d like to apologize for any damage that was done by the arrow the message was sent on. I just wanted the message delivered as quickly as possible.” The man says as the son shrinks down holding the bow close to him.
"S-Sorry." The young man says his body shaking moderately as he looks at the ground. The father practically demanded his presence be noticed, the son on the other hand wanted not to be noticed at all.
Merida attempted to watch the two men enter with as cool and contained a gaze as possible while on the inside she burned at their impudence. Her eyes focused solely on the older man, who she assumed to be the sender. How dare he come in here pretending to be courteous when his methods so clearly indicated an innate hostility?
"Valerion, I presume." She began, "Your message nearly killed our nursemaid.” Merida uttered cooly, trying to imitate her mother’s voice and keep her anger in check. “And ye’ broke a very old window, but your letter did not go unnoticed, I assure you.” Her sight drifted for a moment to the young man standing meekly beside this Valerion and vaguely wondered his story. But she drew her eyes back to the primary threat before her.
"However, while it would’a been more courteous to send a messenger, we are not inhospitable an’ would still hear what ye have to say." She would hear his insulting demands spoken to her own face before she had them thrown out.
I’m back after an unintentional hiatus. I’m sorry I was gone for so long. I’m quite sure most of you have forgotten me by now.
But I’m back and here to stay.
